The Belcher Family

Picture

Fast Food + Yarn

Fans of the Burger Fam, this one is for you! What you will find below is a collection of 5 sets of instructions, one for each character of the Bob's Burger's family.
Using basic crochet and felting techniques, you can make the whole Belcher Posse using your sick crafting skills!
Click the photo or link below to access the free pattern for each character!

You'll Need This:

>> My 8" Doll Base Pattern is required to complete this set!<<
If you're like me and prefer downloading and saving your patterns for offline use, YOU CAN PURCHASE A BUNDLE of both the Belcher Family AND the Doll Base pattern on Etsy and Ravelry!
If you'd rather work along with this blog post, you can purchase a copy of the Doll Base Pattern individually on Etsy and Ravelry!

And these:

You will need basic crochet knowledge (single crochet, increases and decreases), a 2.5mm, a 4mm and a 4.5 mm crochet hook, and an assortment of yarn you can find listed in each characters materials list.
You will be using felt for the hair, so having some black wool felt and a felting needle will be essential to get the details of each characters well-known hair!

LOVE your Belcher Family!! So awesome! I was wondering...where can you find loose felt? I haven't got a clue!

Hi I was wondering if I could see a picture of the back of Bob's head so I can get an idea of what I'm doing? Pretty please?

Hi I was wondering if you have a video or pictures on how to do the hair for dolls?

Hi there!
Here are some video's that helped me, as this was my first adventure with needle felted hair!

This video has a few tips to help you get started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Xn4UB7SBOo

This video helped me figure out how to layer and shape their hair:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eraLCEOqLMQ&t=76s

The best tip from me, make a hair cap! Cover the area you're putting hair on in a thin layer of the same color you'll use for the hair. This will help cover all the crochet work and give your hair some volume and shape!

Feel free to email me at info@gnarlea.com if you need any other tips!

Hi! I’m in the process of your Louise Belcher pattern and I had a question about the legs. I didn’t see directions for finishing the body and then adding legs like your doll base pattern has. I see there’s a part for the “ears” but I thought that was in the hat section, unless I’m reading it wrong? Thank you!!
